Every Child is Unique

Every child is unique and has an innate potential with mental, emotional ,social ,physical and spiritual dimensions .

Why is every child is unique ?

Based on the theories of Piaget and Vygotsky, it is believed that every child is  unique an has own temperaments and learning styles .The child brings this uniqueness into each new experience and takes an active role in the process of learning though their engagement in these experiences  . 

Based on this theory ,I would like to start by saying that all our children who show standart development and need special education are unique  . 

 

Unique SEN Children 

Even though the diagnosis ,age , gender are all the same or similar we prefer to prepare personalised special education programmes for each of our children . Because we know that our each child differ in many features . 

* Potential 

* Developing Rate 

* Learning Style 

* Character 

* Skills 

* Likes

* Dislikes

It takes along time to explore our child's main special feature. We take all the details from families .

" When does she/he wake up, eat, play, sleep ... ?"

" Which foods she/he likes or dislikes ?" 

" What's the favourite toy ,activity, person , place ...? "

" When did he/she begin to walk , smile , talk , run ...? " 

" Does she/he have medical treatment? "

Thousands of questions and answers to evaluate. Meanwhile we observe family and child's communication .Finally we work on processing every information we have. Then " here is our unique child " 

As educators, our main goal is to get to know our unique child in al details and to create a training program for the family and her/him as soon as possible  . Our child shows us how to create  personalised  education program and family education programme . We follow the footprints of our little guide  :) 

Why is it important yo know about our child ? 

Thinking like him/her and acting like them will make our child feel more peaceful . Our child should feel understood . Especially when speaking skils has not yet been developed.

- One to One Education  and more 

Is It Enough ?

No. Sessions, therapies for children always the first step but never enough alone . Whatever the diagnosis is, a holistic perspective is essential . Our unique child has a unique family . Boht the family and the child should be supported together, to support the family specialist should know well all the details about the family like their child. 

     Major Tips For Families 

* Even twins with the same diagnosis may have different characteristics from each other  .

* Let's never compare the general development of our children with with other children cause they are unique .

* We can make a comparison ,the best way to do is comparing our child's development level 3 months ago with his/her current situation.

" In which areas he/she get better in this time of period . "

" What he/she couldn't do 3 months ago , what can do now ? " 

" How many more words that he/she can use now ? " 

     Evaluating your unique child in her/his own development, determines our journey and helps you to set more accurate

I have a wide experience in Individual Education Responsibility Group Training Responsibility Education Coordinator Institution Founding I have a lot of long time experience in the Special Education Field, including the Director of the Institution.
